Clermont Game

Well, after the high of the AB's, we are back into Heineken Cup action this weekend, with the game against Clermont in the early hours of Monday morning!

We are without Flannery, Tipoki, and a few more, but we would still hope to pull off a win against the French side, coached by Kiwi Vern Cotter.

Well, the Munster boys put in a tremendous performance this morning. It says it all that we are dissapointed with our reserve team losing to the All Blacks by 2 points. Congratulations to everyone involved. Fantastic effort by the club.

Well, after this mornings game, it's all up to Munster to keep Irish pride intact against the All Blacks!

The countdown is now well underway, and we wait to see who if any of the Irish squad slot back into the Munster squad for the All Blacks game!

I see in Doug Howletts interview with the press in Ireland, that the Kiwis in the Munster team may be cooking up something special as a response to the All Blacks haka!

Guess we will just have to watch this space and see!!!

Initial Munster squad named!

Munster today named a 23 strong squad of players for the game next Tuesday against New Zealand at Thomond Park.

Munster coach Tony McGahan hopes to bein a position to add to that squad after the game on Saturday in Croke Park.

He explained: 'Right now these are the players we have training at the moment while the autumn internationals are taking place.

'Obviously those games take precedence and we have to just wait and see what the international management require in terms of players following on from the All Blacks game with another international to face into.'

I've just had an email from Colin at Fr Ted's, and they are opening on Wednesday morning at 6am for the match! They will do a breakfast for $12,or a egg and bacon sandwich for $6.

Should be a good morning, and hopefully we will get the result we're hoping for.

By the way, if any Kiwi's are interested, feel free to come along!!! Everyone will be welcome!
